We utilize Carrillo rods in applications that require rods stronger than the OEM rod. In most cases the standard Carrillo designed rod is great for increased boost applications on the BMW S63 engine up to 900whp. Custom rods can also be designed for your specific application at additional cost. Upgrade to CARR bolts is available for an additional 475$. CARR bolts are the ultimate fastener for any rod and are particularly important in high RPM applications to reduce big end distortion.

*X5M S63's built prior to 2012 will require a custom angled split line rod with a serrated split line which can be done for an additional price of $650. You must let us know of this requirement when placing your order.
