These engines are built with very cost effective heads from BMW… The added cost of turbochargers to the 3 series means that BMW could use a more basic port design for the engine as the turbos do most of the work. Simple castings means they cost them less to build and leave a lot of room for improvements for the enthusiast to reap the benefits!
Stage 3 heads have our complete and masterful 100% ported design with our world famous application specific LRD Multi-angle valve job applied. All seals are new and this head is suitable from everything from daily driving to all out track and drag racing.
